Beginning A Blog
When I started my first and second blog, I signed up for a free site, picked a name and launched it that very day. Both of those blogs never really got off the ground. On the other hand, I know people who spend a year getting ready to launch their blog and sometimes it never happens.
If you have a desire to be a blogger. You know that you would love to write and share something, you want to connect with people virtually and learn a lot along the way, then I want to tell you about the best tools I have used to get my blog off the ground this time and truly make it work!
Best First Resource For Bloggers
This post contains affiliate links which means at no extra cost to you, if you make a purchase of this book I will receive a commission. I LOVE this book, so even if Abby did not offer an affiliate link, I would have recommended it as your first investment.
Before you take any other step, get ONE great resource to help you. I can honestly say the one best resource I used and still go back to is Building a Framework by Abby Lawson. This will be your best first investment for your blog.
I can tell you that I have made several purchases over the past year to learn more about blogging, some are very specific to one aspect so they are great after you get started and are ready for it. But for my first step, having been there, I can honestly say this is hands down the best investment in a product that I made to get myself started, and as you read on, you will see I got even more out of it than just a book.
Here is a little more information about this book. I purchased mine a little over a year ago. She has updated it and made it better and I love that, but the bonus for me is because I already purchased it…I get the updated version FREE! So, this is not someone who takes your money and runs. There is so much more to the family behind this book. I got to join a private Facebook Group where I met lots of other new bloggers and have built my own group of masterminds from there. You will find support and inspiration, education and opportunities.
If you are a new blogger and would like to learn more about Link Parties, I invite you to join me at The Party Bloggers. If you would like a group to study with on your blogging journey, I welcome you to join my friends at Blogging School. And if you are into Home and Garden Decor and would like to participate in group Home Tours, I invite you to join my friends at Home Tours Planning Center. These are all FREE Facebook groups with newish bloggers who want to network together for these specific things.
I hope if you are considering blogging or you are new to blogging and are struggling with all of the things that need to be learned, that you will make the small investment into a great support system.
My best to you!
